It's the time of the year again.........the Gimme Season, a.k.a the Holiday Season. That time of year when normal rational people become big freaking idiots!
It is not rational or normal to push and shove to buy a laptop at Wal-Mart. It's not rational or normal to kick a grandma for the last 'new' Elmo of the season. It is not normal to stand outside in below freezing weather to be the first to purchase an X-Box 360 (especially since the darn things apparently freeze up if you actually use the games they are suppose to play). Now it may be, for me, rational and normal to stand outside and purchase Springsteen tickets but Lord even I have my limit and unless he's retiring I doubt I would stand outside, push or shove to get my hands on one.
What ever happen to Christmas anyway? Or Kawanza, Hanukka, Festivus and Chrismukkah? Whatever happened to giving is better and receiving? What ever happened to sleeping late the day after Thanksgiving?
Don't even get me started with stores opening on Thanksgiving so we can beat the 'Christmas' rush!
